Early Music Academy is dedicated to exploring our great heritage of Renaissance choral music and developing a performance style appropriate to it. We work on concert and service repertoire in a variety of small and medium sized groups and the week’s activities culminate in a Gala Concert.

The course this year will be taking place at Uppingham School. Activities are based around the chapel, located minutes from the picturesque and historic town centre.

We welcome applicants aged 18 and over with good sight-reading skills.

CALLING ALL TENORS as this year our main focus will be Palestrina's beautiful Missa Papae Marcelli. If you have never sung this before, now's your chance! A challenging work for everyone but one that's well worth all the effort. We will also be working on music from other composers of the Roman School including Victoria  and Giovanni Anerio, whose 450th birthday falls in 2017. A delicious programme of music that we look forward to sharing with you!
